SpyCop Cloak Customer Help Center

Why does the Print Screen Button require my permission?

SpyCop Cloak actively detects when the print screen event occurs because several spy applications are able to fake this key press in order to take a screen shot of the current screen.

This is why SpyCop Cloak displays the User Access Control dialog to determine if the user truly does want a screen shot to happen.

From this screen you can allow the event to occur the one time, deny it the one time, have it remember to allow the event everytime, or have it remember to deny the event anytime.

These settings can also be set with the SpyCop Cloak tray icon in the taskbar.

If you right click the SpyCop Cloak tray icon and move your mouse to the Print Screen sub menu you will see all of the options for the print screen button detection.

By default it is in the Ask mode.

This causes SpyCop Cloak to ask the user what to do when this event happens.

If you select the Allow option, the print screen event will always be allowed.

You may need to enter your password to select this option if the password feature is enabled.

If you select the Deny option, the print screen event will always be denied.
