SpyCop Cloak Customer Help Center

What is the Block List screen used for?

The Block List screen is used to configure how SpyCop Cloak interacts with the different programs running on your system.

If a program attempts to do something that is considered potentially malicious, SpyCop Cloak will detect it and display a User Access Control dialog asking you if this action should be allowed or denied.

If you decide to either remember always or deny always, this application will be added to the SpyCop Cloak application list with the setting that you have chosen for the specific action that the program was attempting to do.

Through the Block List screen you can modify these settings or add new programs to the list instead of waiting for SpyCop Cloak to ask you when it has detected a potential event.

To get into the Block List screen you can right click the SpyCop Cloak tray icon in the task bar and select Block List.

If you have the password feature enabled you will be required to enter your password before the Block List screen will load.

Once the Block List screen has loaded you will be presented with a list of applications that have been added to the SpyCop Cloak applications list.

Selecting an application in this list will display the settings for that application in the radio boxes below.

Selecting Allow for an event will allow that event to always happen without asking the user for that specific application.

Selecting Deny for an event will deny that event all of the time without asking the user for that specific application.

Selecting Ask will cause SpyCop Cloak to ask the user what to do when that specific event occurs from the selected application.

An application can be added to the list by clicking the Add button and browsing for a specific application.

By default, this new entry in the list will have all events allowed. You may select different settings for the events if you wish.

To remove an application from the list simply select the application you want in the list of applications and click the remove button.

All setting with respect to this application will be removed. If the application does something in the future that SpyCop Cloak suspects is malicious it will ask you what to do.

When you are done with the Block List screen you just need to click the Done button in the bottom right corner to close the dialog.
